Contenuti

Critical Thinking is a form of analysis of observations and arguments that uses rational and skeptical methods of evaluation. It has a long tradition in higher education, and is essential for (good) decision-making. Identifying problems, understanding their prioritization, explicating implicit assumptions, and challenging taken-for-granted views are relevant skills for doing sustainable business. This course familiarizes participants with the fundamentals of Critical Thinking by delving into its philosophical and methodological underpinnings. In the light of a reflection on the social role of businesses, the concept of “sustainability” will be revisited. The course concludes with a variety of applied thinking sessions, that aim to train critical thinking by analyzing typical business situations with a view to make sustainable decisions.
