Abstract:
The finding of a golden pendant depicting a female figure holding two ribbons in the Hellenistic level of Area A, Kinik Hoyuk (Cappadocia) has led to analyze the iconography of the subject, which finds comparanda in several coins from the area, where the figure has been considered a depiction of Anahita, a Persian goddess. The evidence for this cult in Cappadocia has allowed to reflect on religious hybridism and syncretism in the region during the Hellenistic period.
