Gastroesophageal reflux and respiratory diseases: does it exist a real link?

The correlation between Gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GERD) and respiratory diseases, such as asthma, chronic cough and laryngitis is still controversial. Here, we review the current recommendations on diagnosis and treatment of GERD and if it exists a real link between clinical presentation of some respiratory diseases.
