Abstract:
Sciamanna et al. show overt alterations in neuronal excitability of the globus pallidus in a dystonia mouse model. Pallidal neurons show impairments in firing rate and pattern, caused by altered dopamine D2 receptor control over GABAergic striatopallidal synapses with subsequent downregulation of HCN channels.
