The Translation of Personality: Prismatic Dynamics of Emotive Markers

The paper deals with the translation from English into Italian of some emotive markers int the construction of the character's isotopy in the novel "The Catcher in the Rye". There exists a low functional correspondence between the two languages when it comes to morphological alliterative paradigms and their pragmatic effects. With reference to the theory of Morphopragmatics, the expression of emotions is mostly entrusted to some linguistic subsystems that are not widely shared along languages, not even among those that are typologically close.
