Dynamics of isolated-photon plus jet production in pp collisionsat √s=7 TeV with the ATLAS detector

Abstract:
Thedynamicsofisolated-photonplusjetproductioninppcollisionsatacentre-of-massenergyof7TeVhasbeenstudiedwiththeATLASdetectorattheLHCusinganintegratedluminosityof37pb−1.Measure-mentsofisolated-photonplusjetbin-averagedcrosssectionsarepresentedasfunctionsofphotontransverseenergy,jettransversemomentumandjetrapidity.Inaddition,thebin-averagedcrosssectionsasfunctionsofthedifferencebetweentheazimuthalanglesofthephotonandthejet,thephoton–jetinvariantmassandthescatteringangleinthephoton–jetcentre-of-massframehavebeenmeasured.Next-to-leading-orderQCDcalculationsarecomparedtothemeasurementsandprovideagooddescriptionofthedata,exceptforthecaseoftheazimuthalopeningangle.
