Abstract:
Since the introduction of antibiotic treatment there has been a remarkable reduction in the incidence of "classical" neurosyphilis, and, when carebral involvemente occurs, a relative increase in abortive or monosymptomatic cases that are difficult to diagnose because of the prevalence of meninges and/or mental signs. A case of luetic meningoencephalitis is described with emaphasis on diagnostic, prognostic and therapeutic aspects.
