Purpose of the course is the presentation of the basic and clinical principles of the surgical emergencies occurring in General Surgery. At the end of the course the student should be able to recognize a surgical emergency and to treat it.
Course Prerequisites
The course is part of the surgical formation of the students, including the emergencies. The student attending this course should be prepared on surgical anatomy and on surgical diseases
Teaching Methods
The course is based on frontal lessons (in presence, in mixed form or online, based on the necessity), with projection of slides and videos.
Assessment Methods
The exam is a multiple choice written test with 30 questions (only one answer is correct). The student has 30 minutes to complete the test. The questions are based on the arguments treated during the lessons.If, for any reason, the written exam cannot be performed, it is possible to organize an oral exam online
