Definition, etiology, pathophysiology, clinical presentation, diagnosis (semeiotics and instrumental diagnosis), indications for treatment, and treatment (medical, surgical, and endovascular) of the principal arterial and venous diseases of angiology and vascular-surgery competence.
Course Prerequisites
Knowledge of normal anatomy of the arterial and venous vessels of the human body.
Teaching Methods
Teaching is based on lectures that utilize PowerPoint presentations. Some time will also be reserved for discussion. Attendance at all lessons is mandatory.
Assessment Methods
The oral exam is graded on a scale from 0 to 30 out of 30. The final grade for the test will be the average of the grades from the vascular surgery, cardiology, and cardiac surgery modules. If a module is not passed, the exam will need to be repeated.
