The aim of the module is to provide students with the theoretical and clinical knowledge for: - planning implant and prosthetic treatments in periodontitis‐susceptible patients, - the management and possible increase of peri-implant tissues, - prevention, diagnosis and treatment of peri-implant diseases, - planning of supportive peri-implant care.
Course Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of anatomy, histology, microbiology, general pathology, oral and dental pathology, and periodontology. In particular, knowledge of the following aspects is required: - anatomical and histological characteristics of periodontal tissues, - periodontal diseases and related preventive, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
