The main objective of the course is to provide basic knowledge of techniques applied in entomological studies. Learning outcomes: - knowledge of invertebrate sampling techniques; - basic knowledge of identification; - ability in applying acquired knowledges in entomological monitoring studies.

The course includes lectures (ppt presentations), field activity (sampling techniques application) and laboratory activities (biological soil quality index with organisms identification and insect preparation)
Assessment Methods
Oral test: - open questions with a brief description of taxonomic groups/sampling techniques; - questions that request image recognition (e.g. of organisms)
