The student must improve the knowledge on functional anatomy and physiological orthopedic aspects characteristic of the perinatal period and early childhood, in order to carry out a correct neuropsychomotor evaluation of the child and outline the overall physiopathological and functional profile in the different age groups and periods of development. Furthermore the knowledge of the orthopedic manifestations of the main neurological and neuromuscular diseases will enable the student to: - implement early interventions to improve the acquisition of skills and competences, compatibly with the age and development level of the young patient - to program neuromotor rehabilitation interventions in acute and chronic congenital and acquired diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system in pediatric age - to plan psychomotor and neurocognitive rehabilitation interventions in alterations of the different areas of psychomotor development
Course Prerequisites
Barriers and prerequisites required for the general organization of the course must be respected. Understanding the topics of AIDS AND PROSTHESES IN PC A course requires the student to be in possession of the basic notions on the etiopathogenesis of CP; on the anatomy, functional anatomy and joint physiology of the "able" child. He must also have knowledge of psychology, in order to better approach the disabled child and his care givers
Teaching Methods
The lessons will be held in the presence, in the form of lectures, presentation and discussion of clinical cases. For carrying out the frontal lessons, Power Point presentations are used, made available to students in the section dedicated to teaching on the moodle KIRO platform.
Assessment Methods
The final test is written and focuses on the topics covered during the lessons. The learning outcomes are verified through the administration of a questionnaire of 30 questions; the correct test will be awarded a score of 30: each correct answer is assigned the score: 1. The duration of the test is 30 minutes: during the exam the use of notes, texts, telephone is not allowed. The teacher is available to clarify any doubts regarding the formulation / interpretation of the questions.
