At the end of the course, the student will acquire theoretical and practical skills relating to neuropsychovisual rehabilitation. The expected learning outcomes are: - know the notions relating to the pathologies of visual disorders - apply the tools of visual neurofunctional observation and the tools for its quantitative evaluation - know how to analyze the data resulting from the evaluation and understand them in the formulation of clinical reasoning to set the objectives of rehabilitation intervention.
Course Prerequisites
the neuropsychovisual rehabilitation module requires knowledge of the contents of the visual rehabilitation course, the notions of anatomy of the central nervous system and the visual apparatus.
Teaching Methods
the teaching uses frontal lessons with video projections where the active participation of the students is required in the observation and analysis of the clinical cases presented. This teaching takes place in conjunction with the professional internship, where the student has the opportunity to see the tools presented from a theoretical point of view and the related working methodology applied in the field
Assessment Methods
Learning is verified through an oral exam consisting of questions of various types, which require a brief description of the definitions of visual disorders and the description of the process of observation and application of the tools with related data analysis for the planning of the intervention, questions which require describing a type of rehabilitation setting and the tools to be used. The evaluation will take into account the ability to communicate and the use of appropriate scientific vocabulary
