The course aims to make the students aware of the basic topics of Forensic Medicine, in particular the essential knowledge to any healthcare professional. The student will acquire the tools that will allow him to communicate with patients, relatives and colleagues with full awareness, to make correct decisions in line with ethical rules and state laws and to correctly document his activity. He will also acquire essential knowledge on the diagnosis and certification of death, recognition of post-mortal phenomena, elements of criminal and civil law and professional healthcare responsibility, elements of criminal and civil procedure.

Assessment Methods
Oral exam, which consists of a question with a broader answer in which the student is given the opportunity to expand by integrating the knowledge acquired, and another more targeted question. If the student wishes to improve their grade, they are given the (optional) possibility of asking another targeted question.
