General overview on the epidemiology and clinical aspects of the rheumatic diseases, principles of pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment, with particular attention given to the aspects relevant to the profession of orthopredic technician. Specifically, the following topics will be covered:
- Classification of the rheumatic diseases - Common clinical features and semeiotics of rheumatic diseases - Inflammatory arthropathies: rheumatoid arthritis, spondyloenthesoarthritis, polymyalgia rheumatica - Connective tissue diseases - Osteoarthritis - Low back pain - Osteoporosis - Extra-articular rheumatism: fybromyalgia, shoulder pain, enthesitis, peripheral nerve compression syndromes
