The main objective of the course is to provide the significance of biomarkers and their importance in Laboratory Medicine. Students will be introduced to biochemical techniques and laboratory data and how they integrate into the clinical-diagnostic process.
Course Prerequisites
To better understand the content of the course, the student should have acquired the basic knowledge from the courses of biochemistry and human physiology, genetics and general pathology.
Teaching Methods
The course consists of oral lectures integrated by educational seminars. It is recommended to attend 75% of the course. Professors are available for additional explanation and clarification on demand.
Assessment Methods
Final competences are verified by oral exam.
