The main objective of the 2nd year professional training is to acquire the ability to use observation and evaluation tools useful for identifying the child's development profile, including potential, difficulties and needs. Through learning based on experience in re-habilitation facilities, guided by university tutors and internship assistants, the student placed in a real working context will acquire theoretical-practical skills relating to developmental disorders that arise in developmental age, not a particular reference to the different ways of clinical manifestation of the same, in terms of signs and symptoms. The expected learning outcomes are the following: - know how to carry out neuropsychomotor observation and evaluation - know how to draw up a neuropsychomotor observation report - know how to organize an evaluation setting - identify useful assessment tools to use in relation to the child - identify the strengths and weaknesses of the child with non-physiological development - learn to relate to the professionals of the multidisciplinary team

More information
The evaluation form of the internship training course was created following the indications contained in the Core Competence of the Neuro and Psychomotor Therapist of the Developmental Age and following the standards identified by the Permanent Conference of the Health Professions. The assistant/tutor is called upon to evaluate the skills acquired by the student during the internship in relation to two areas of skills: transversal and technical-professional. Each of the two areas is in turn divided into sub-areas to which a mark out of thirty is attributed: the final vote for each of the two Areas of Competence is the result of the sum of the votes assigned to each sub-area divided by the number of sub-areas -areas themselves. The final grade of the internship training course is obtained from the average between the grade obtained in the area of transversal skills and that of the area of technical-professional skills. This is subsequently integrated with the grade relating to the final internship exam.
