The course aims to provide the fundamental knowledge of physiopathology and clinical aspects of the main internal diseases that allow the student to correctly frame and appropriately manage nutritional intervention in people with internal diseases.
Course Prerequisites
It is required that the student has acquired the basics of human anatomy, knowledge of general physiology and pathology, cellular and tissue biology, the chemical and biochemical bases of metabolic processes, elements of statistics and epidemiology.
Teaching Methods
Frontal lessons with use of power point provided via email to students.
Assessment Methods
Oral exam in which the student's preparation and the level of knowledge acquired on the topics presented in class will be assessed. As it is an integrated course, consisting of two modules, the partial evaluations relating to the individual modules contribute to forming the final grade.
