Teaching Methods
The course is divided into frontal lessons integrated with the analysis of practical cases, with moments of discussion and debate.
Assessment Methods
The final exam will be in oral form. For the purposes of the assessment, knowledge of the subject from a theoretical point of view and the ability to correctly frame practical cases will be taken into account. The clarity of the presentation and the correct use of the technical penal language will also be evaluated.

Exam preparation is based only on topics extrapolated from the texts indicated above by the teacher and supplemented by the materials distributed during the lessons.
Contents
The course is divided into a general part and a special part. In the general part, the fundamental notions of Criminal Law will be dealt with. During the course will be discussed the characteristics and functions of criminal law, the fundamental principles, the elements of the crime, the forms of manifestation of the crime, the crime of willful commission, the crime of negligent commission and the crime of omission; the vicissitudes of punishability and penal sanctions. The special part will deal with the crimes that most affect the figure of the Health and Safety Technician; crimes against life and personal safety, crimes of danger and against public health, crimes relating to the environment, crimes committed to protect animals and foodstuffs.
