The teaching of oncology aims to provide the nursing student with the essential notions to understand: - the impact of this disease on the population and on the health system, - the basic notions of the diagnostic and therapeutic workup, - the basic principles of antineoplastic treatments and their side effects, - the importance of multidisciplinarity in Oncology, also from the point of view of a hospital-territory path, and the concept of simultaneous care.
Course Prerequisites
Understanding the topics covered in the Oncology module requires the student to have knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, general biology / pathology. They must also possess the fundamentals of internal medicine and general concepts of epidemiology, pharmacology and health organization.
