Syllabus

Course Objectives

Overall objective: know and apply the evidence-based approach in the critical care area and acquire advanced methodological planning and design skills.

Intermediate objectives:
The legislation in the field of nursing in critical care;
Research and evidence in the clinical field;
Research and evidence in the organizational field;
Conceptual models prevalent in the critical care area;
To deepen issue of national and international importance.


Course Prerequisites

It is necessary to have attended the curricular courses preparatory to the teachings of the 2° year of the course

Teaching Methods

Lectures, guided discussion groups, exercises

Assessment Methods

The test involves the creation of a project work on a topic relevant to teaching.

The responsibilities and skills of the critical care nurse specialist (e.g. Triage, intensive care, specialist skills). The skills of the critical care nurse in Italy and on the international scene.
The use of research in clinical practice, with particular reference to the most debated topics in the scientific literature relating to the critical area.
Critical analysis of clinical pathways in emergency emergencies.
Structural and organizational characteristics of emergency rooms, intensive care units and operating blocks
Training and skills of the specialist nurse.
