The course aims to provide students with the linguistic tools necessary to understand and analyse texts about politics in Arabic language, search and understand news on major news sites, and conduct research independently.
Course Prerequisites
Students are required to pass the exame of Arabic 1 Advanced course. Knowledge of the main morpho-syntactic structures is required, as well as the acquirement of basic media Arabic vocabulary.

Assessment Methods
The final exam consists of written and oral tests. The written exam will be a written comprehension (without dictionary) on the subjects treated during the lessons.The oral exam will consist in reading and analsyng the texts of the lessons and in a conversation with the mother tongue teacher. Contents
In this module, in addition to completing the study of syntax (the elative, complements in accusative (tamyiz, hal and maf'ul li-ajlihi) and weak verbs) we will use authentic texts and audiovisual material aimed at understanding modern and contemporary society, with a focus on human rights, demonstrations and protests, social change, migration, minorities and cultural diversity. Major news stories on Arab networks will also be followed. Supplementary teaching hours with the native speaker will also include learning the basics of the Egyptian dialect variety (Cairo dialect) Students in DD at the Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdallah University in Fes will be exempt from the dialect variety portion of the oral exam upon certification of attendance of at least 20 hours of Moroccan dialect in Fes.
