Teaching Methods
Teaching methods consist of: lectures, student-led debates, student presentations, seminar with experts; workshops on reading and understanding scientific texts; group projects.
Assessment Methods
30% final presentation and participation in class discussions and debates
Students present group work (see below). Although the work is collective, each student in each group must present part of the paper. Each presentation will last approximately 20 minutes. During the final presentations, students will discuss another group's paper. Students will also participate in a debate during which they will support a thesis prepared by the lecturer (see below). The evaluation of the presentations and debates will also take into account the active participation of the students during the course. The assessment of the presentations will be collective.
30% Group project
Groups will consist of a minimum of 2 students who will prepare and present a paper on the competitive and innovative capacity of a European region. The projects will be presented at the end of the course. The papers will be sent to the lecturer on the same date as the first exam after the end of the course. The group project assessment is collective. See project details below.
40% Individual final examination
The written examination consists of two open questions (choice of four) on the topics covered during the course. See programme details below. Evaluation is individual.
