The course will provide to the students elements on the archives formation and conservation process, regarding their nature and the activity of their medieval producer subject.
Course Prerequisites
General prerequisites of the degree program.
Teaching Methods
Lectures. The course has a seminar character. The professor will frame the topics of the course and will assign essays that participants must expose presenting them to a joint debate. Documents from various archives will be read during the lecture. A personal work to be prepared and discussed in class is required.
Assessment Methods
Oral exam. The evaluation will take into account the personal contribution to the joint work and the essays prepared by the student.

Contents
The special archivistscs module will introduce to the origins and the development of the archivial management as direct effect of the activity of the producer subject. Several archives, belonging to general and specific categories, public archives, personal private archives, and ecclesiastical archives, will be investigated.
