To be able to describe a rock, to classify igneous and metamorphic rocks and to describe their petrogenesi processes.
Course Prerequisites
Chemistry and physics as done in first year courses.
Teaching Methods
Frontal lessons using power point presentations. Exercises on reading phase diagrams (igneous and metamorphic rocks) and rock classification (material is available on kiro).
Assessment Methods
Written exam for both modules. 8 Open questions and two exercises, as explained in the classroom.
