The expected learning objectives are first of all a deeper attention to the concept of sustainability in the different fields of study, in daily life and in possible work environments. The student will have to acquire awareness of the strong interrelationships between different topics and learn to recognize their environmental, social and economic connotations. Through theoretical and multidisciplinary knowledge, the student will acquire skills in identifying problems and their solutions and will be able to independently develop the analysis of specific case studies, experimenting with new methods of analysis and problem solving. solving. * Promote the culture of sustainability, also through knowledge of the contents of the United Nations 2030 Agenda. * Provide the basis for understanding the complexity of sustainability, taking an inter- and transdisciplinary perspective. * Encourage the development of critical and systemic thinking, as well as other transversal skills relating to sustainability. * Promote responsible behavior with respect to the environment, people, the territory and the future.
Course Prerequisites
In light of the transversality and interdisciplinarity of the topics covered, no specific prerequisites are required.
Teaching Methods
The lessons include frontal lessons carried out through PowerPoint slide presentations with case-based teaching, conversational teaching, small group teaching, problem solving. In the laboratory activity, preference will be given to laboratories that are easily transferable to the reality of schools and students will be helped to develop new laboratory activities on specific topics. The teaching aims to guarantee participants a path of Sustainability Literacy and is part of a national experiment involving the 86 universities belonging to the Network of Universities for Sustainable Development (RUS).
