This course aims at the introduction of advanced topics in the field of microwave technology, to provide the students with subjects that represent the state-of-the-art in academic and industrial research. The lectures cover cutting-edge topics related to modeling, design and applications of microwave and antenna components and systems. Some of these topics are strictly related to the research activities performed at the Department of Electrical, Computer and Biomedical Engineering of the University of Pavia.

Contents
In the framework of this course, short monographic courses are presented, which are related to substrate integrated waveguide technology, industrial applications of microwaves, and components and systems for space communication. In addition, seminars given by international guests are offered to the students.
