The teaching aims to train students about the organizational and technological structures present today at health facilities. The student will acquire awareness of hospital logistics and automation systems, safety and quality of processes. Particular attention is paid to the legislation and legislation in force in the field and also to the testing of medical devices. At the end, the student will have to know the principles of health technology assessment in the hospital context.

Contents
Hospitals and healthcare companies: organizational structure (directorates, departments, structures, services ,...) and technological (buildings, plants, equipment, devices, networks, ...). Hospital logistics: distribution of drugs and medical devices, displacement of equipment, routes of personnel, patients, visitors, finds, goods, reports, information. Automation, safety and quality of processes: laboratory of clinical chemistry, immunology, bacteriology; drug preparation. Assessment of healthcare technologies in the hospital context (HB-HTA) and risk assessment/management. Medical device testing: clinical trials and profit and non-profit, pre and post-market trials.
