Knowledge of insects physiology and their role from a ecological and evolutionary perspective. Understanding of the importance of insects for public health and economics. Knowledge of control methods for insects control. Capacity of critical thinking and connections between topics, techniques and scientific evidence.
Course Prerequisites
Fundamental knowledge of molecular biology and ecology. In addition, English knowledge represent an essential tool for accessing the original literature.
Teaching Methods
Lectures and seminars, group works and student-led sessions.
Assessment Methods
Oral exam with 4 questions of core topics and seminar on a research article on a relevant topic.
