The course provides essential knowledge about sustainability and circularity in different entrepreneurial organizations, for profit, no-profit and hybrids. In addition to this, the course aims at developing competences in sustainable and circular firm creation, business model design for the circular economy, problem solving, project management, team work and communication.
Course Prerequisites
Foundations in Management are required. Details about the mentioned foundations are in the first of slides about the course program and exam, available in the e-learning platform KIRO
Teaching Methods
Lectures and business presentations alternate during the course. Students are invited to discuss real case studies and problems in the sustainability and circular transition, by applying design thinking approaches during one or more hackathons.
Assessment Methods

Non-MIBE students who attend the course may need to fill gaps in basic knowledge about management and innovation, so they may need further readings. The course is composed of two modules: one held by prof Antonella Zucchella and a shorter one held by Dr Paolo Garbagna, entrepreneur, about sustainable management in high impact industries.
