At the end of the course, the student will acquire the following objectives:
•Understand and critically analyze the ethical aspects related to nursing/midwifery care and the organizational problems encountered in the exercise of professional practice •Encourage the participation of the assisted person and family members in care choices • Discuss the ethical aspects that characterize the profession of nurse and midwife, in particular in the relationship between professionals, assisted people, family members and institutions • Deepen methodologies for the solution of ethical dilemmas encountered in professional practice and to address/manage organizational problems in the nursing/midwifery field
Course Prerequisites
As a prerequisite, a review of the knowledge of ethics and deontology acquired in similar basic training courses is required

Assessment Methods
Individual written essay on the topic: Code of Ethics for Nurses 2019 and Code of Ethics for Midwives - comparison with the Codes of Ethics of other countries and international literature.
