Syllabus

Course Objectives

The course aims to promote the exploration of concepts, theories and patterns about health and disease in order to create the conditions for re-elaborating, through the lens of salutogenesis, the nursing and obstetrics functions, related to primary health care and primary and secondary prevention. Such reflection on health care, boosted by scientific evidence emerging from the most recent research, is considered to be the fundamental basis for the development of nursing/obstetrics, training, organization and implementation of project activities, the research.

Course Prerequisites

Conceptual bases, methods and techniques specific to health promotion to be applied to the nursing and midwifery context

Teaching Methods

Exercises: analysis and guided discussion of design sheets related to health promotion, primary and secondary prevention.
Analysis of useful interventions to promote health with an eye to different ideas of health, educational, relational and project-oriented styles in the promotion of healthy life habits.

Assessment Methods

The final evaluation includes the written production of a re-elaboration which focuses on the following main arguments: - Primary healthcare in the promotion of healthy life styles; - methods and educational-relational and design strategies in the promotion of healthy lifestyles, primary and secondary prevention of chronic- degenerative diseases - Nursing and obstetrics function and contribution to health-promoting projects
Such written production will be developed starting from the reflective, analytical and critical contribution of different projects of health promotion and primary and secondary prevention.
Key points for writing the paper:
1-needs analysis - health problems 2-Design style and educational-relational models in the promotion of healthy lifestyles 3-nursing and midwifery function, development of care and contribution to the implementation of health projects
The written test evaluates the
- argumentative, methodological and scientific quality of the presentation relating to points 1-2-3-Text of the paper written in word format max 800 words, Times New Roman font, height 10.Send by mail ten days before the appeal

Analysis of educational experiences with the community and different target groups (developmental age, adults, elderly, menopausal women) carried out in school settings, opportunistic environments, counseling centers, neighborhood committees, nursing clinics in the province of Pavia: the nursing function live and in the midst of health promotion
