The aim of the course is to give technical knowledge to analyze biological and clinical data. At the end of the course the student will be able to use a statistical software (JASP) to analyze data coming from nursing and clinical studies using descriptive and inferential statistics.
Course Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of Windows Operating System. Basic Knowledge of descriptive statistics
Teaching Methods
During the course there will be lectures about statistical methods for the analysis of clinical data and practical sessions using JASP.
Assessment Methods
Practical Exam on the Computer (Performing a statistical analysis of a real data set coming from a nursing research using JASP).

Contents
The course program will include the learning of the JASP software for descriptive and inferential analysis of biomedical data. In particular, the student will be able to perform descriptive (tables, graphs, statistical measures), inferential analysisi (chi-squared, Student-t test, correlation, linear and logistic regression models) and to interpret the results of statistical analysis.
