The course is aimed at analyzing the aspects of care and management related to the adult/elderly person who is affected by lesions of different etiology (decubitus ulcers, vascular ulcers, skin tears, Incontinence-Associated Dermatitis IAD). The Course aims to provide content related to the prevention and treatment of lesions according to the guidelines and good clinical practice.
Course Prerequisites
The knowledge required and recommended at the entrance refers to the contents of the nursing disciplines of the 1st-2nd year of the Course. Basic knowledge relating to anatomy and physiology, general and clinical pathology, microbiology is also required.
Teaching Methods
Frontal and interactive lessons with the support of slides, in order to develop the critical clinical-assistance reasoning necessary to plan the management of lesions
Assessment Methods
The final assessment includes a written test with multiple choice questions (30 questions); each correct answer is assigned a score, the maximum score achievable is 30/30 and the minimum score is 18/30. Students with certified DSA and recognized by the SAISD Center of Unipv will be able to take advantage of the compensatory measures recognized to them.
