Course Objectives

General objective: to provide students with basic knowledge and essential skills in the field of pediatrics. Upon completion of the course, students must demonstrate that they have acquired the fundamental concepts related to the management and care of pediatric patients, with particular attention to growth, development, and the management of the main conditions from birth to adolescence.

The program aims to train professionals capable of collaborating effectively within the pediatric healthcare team, recognizing the appropriate instruments to be used across different age groups, understanding the importance of the environment and of the healthcare provider–patient and healthcare provider–parent relationship, and actively participating in care-related decisions through a critical approach to therapeutic pathways. Students must be able to use proper scientific language and have developed skills for independent study.
