Training objectives and learning outcomes The Course aims to promote the development of advanced knowledge, specialized skills and specific skills, with the aim of raising the quality of nursing care in the cardiovascular context. The training objectives and learning outcomes of the course are stated in the following terms: Knowledge and understanding: Gain an in-depth understanding of the main care needs in people with cardiovascular disease. Know the main diagnostic and instrumental investigations used in the cardiovascular context. Applied knowledge and understanding: Apply nursing skills in the clinical and care path of people suffering from cardiovascular diseases, including acute coronary syndrome, heart failure, cardiac rhythm alterations and congenital heart disease. Use the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) guidelines for the prevention of cardiovascular disease. Judgment autonomy: Critically analyze the level of care complexity, identify specific needs and plan care based on the identified needs, integrating the knowledge acquired. Communication skills: Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team involved in the care of the person with cardiovascular disease. Establish a therapeutic relationship with the person being assisted.
Ability to learn: Develop self-learning ability, keeping skills updated based on new scientific evidence in the cardiovascular field. At the end of the course, the student will be able to competently and up-to-date deal with the complex care needs of people suffering from cardiovascular diseases, integrating theoretical knowledge with practical skills and relational skills, developing a continuous propensity for self-learning.
Course Prerequisites
Pre-requisites
Knowledge of the basic principles of physiology and anatomy of the cardiovascular system.
Teaching Methods
Teaching aids and tools
- Lesson -Case study -Simulation -Role playing - Learning material on platform KIRO
Assessment Methods
The formative assessment is continuous and final and develops in the manner described below: - The exam consists of a written test made up of 30 questions, which can be of different types, such as multiple choice questions, True/False questions and/or completion questions.
