abstract:
Authors evaluated out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) survivors in a catchment area of half million inhabitants. A clinical psychologist administered PHQ-9 questionnaire focused to the first two weeks after the patient was discharged. 18.7% of patients reached the PHQ-9 score for mild depression; another 18.7% schowed the score for moderately severe or severe depression. These findings confirm that depression in OHCA survivors is not negligible and should be always considered.
