abstract:
The urban regeneration is the expression of ideal, aesthetic and sense of value. In China it is mainly driven by government
conduction or by market, sometimes it is the combination of both force. Nowadays, it is common opinion between scientists and
scholars that the developments in China imply impacts on the global level; in other words their choices have impacts on our
environment and our space of living as well.
The aim of this paper is to provide a criticism and a systematic understanding of design principles and advanced strategies on
architectural reuse and urban regeneration in Shanghai. Our method is distinguished by a data collection tactics through three
types of information: observations, documents and visual information.
