abstract:
Even though democracy is traditionally considered as the most adequate model for collective decision-making procedure, it has been repeatedly criticized for a lack of legitimacy and consensus. Looking at deliberative models of democracy and their application in the urban context, this section tries to clarify if and how such revised account of democracy can address the most important challenges to democratic legitimacy.
