abstract:
The paper aims to analyse originally, also in the light of a few main categories of the ancient scepticism, some arguments put forward in Bobbio’s book L’età dei diritti in favour of ethical relativism. I qualify three of these arguments as proheretic and two arguments as theoretical. Within the discussion of the first theoretical argument, I distinguish between a priori arguments from
disagreement and a posteriori arguments from disagreement; within the discussion of the second theoretical argument, I distinguish between two meanings of absolute ethical foundation.
