Il ruolo della traduzione audiovisiva nel percorso verso la fruibilità dell’opera d’arte

Audio description for people who are blind and sight impaired is becoming more and more important in the field of art accessibility. What cannot be seen can in fact be communicated orally (and received aurally) using linguistic and practical tactics that have been developed over time as a result of research, user input, and museum involvement. In this paper, I will use the collaboration of the University of Trieste and the National Archaeological Museum of Aquileia to define audio description and inclusive audio description tours. This will enable me to exemplify as well as focus on both the linguistic and practical considerations that go into creating audio description tours for all.
