Analysis of serum carbohydrate-deficient transferrin (CDT) and other laboratory markers combined with questionnaire and physician interview is illustrated as a strategy for examining subjects with alcohol related problems, This approach can be applied for assessing alcohol abuse in workplace surveillance.
