Knowledge of the basics of safety in engineering and technology. Knowledge of European Directives and Italian laws in industrial engineering.
At the end of the course, the student will be able to: 1. know the machinery directive and other directives related to the safety of equipment and work environments 2. know the main sources of electrical risk in the workplace and related to machines, the main faults in electrical systems, the dangers related to overvoltages and overcurrents for people and systems 3. analyze and apply the directives of the European community addressed relating to the safety of machinery and industrial work environments 4. analyze machinery / equipment from the point of view of safety considering the studied directives 5. identify the main risks in the workplace relating to the topics addressed (electrical risk, Atex, electromagnetic fields) 6. acquire a precise and adequate technical language to describe the topics addressed
