Besides offering a broad perspective in historical and literary terms, the course, with the analysis of highly significant texts, is intended to provide basic methodological capacities (philological, or thematic, or narratological, or semiotic, or linguistic) for the analysis of the literary text.
Course Prerequisites
French Literature 2: students must have passed the first-year French Literature Examination.
French Literature 3: modern Language students must have passed the second-year French Literature Examination. Students from other disciplines whose knowledge of French is not up to standard are required to have passed the Language examination before taking the Literature Exam

Assessment Methods
Oral exam, in French. The exam aims at testing the student's knowledge of French and of the topics discussed during the course.

Fortunati) French Literature 2: Students are expected to study the history of 19th and 20th century French Literature, making use of the following text book: Bertini, Accornero, Bongiovanni, Giachino, Lire, II, Einaudi scuola.. Students will also have to read two works (in French) belonging to different centuries ( XIX and XX ) to be chosen from a reading list available on platform kiro.
