The teaching aims to provide students with the basic notions of Social Psychology. It will be illustrated how cognitive and social processes are the basis for individuals to understand themselves, others and the social world. Furthermore, it will also be illustrated how social relationships develop between individuals and between groups, including work groups (particularly in the healthcare sector) Students will learn to know and understand the basic notions of the discipline with particular reference to the main theories and research methodology. Applications of the discipline in various fields will be discussed and students will learn to develop independent critical thinking with respect to the social phenomena to which we are exposed on a daily basis.
Course Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of general psychology is a good prerequisite
