The course aims to illustrate the basic elements of clinical psychology for a holistic approach in the health sector. This approach starts from the progressive differentiation between the medical discipline and the discipline of clinical psychology. The goal is not to acquire knowledge and techniques to be applied mechanically, but rather to encourage the attention of midwives to the emotional aspects of the relationship with patients, improving the approach in clinical work, in synergy with others. professional roles. It is also essential to increase communication and relational skills, placing oneself in an adequate and competent way with respect to the psychological dynamics at the basis of psychological, subjective and behavioral distress.
