At the end of the course each student will demonstrate that they are able to: Describe the historical, cultural and anthropological evolution of the concepts of health, disease and treatment. Describe the fundamental concepts of the nursing discipline. Describe the founding principles of caring. Analyze the human response in the experience of health and illness. Describe strategies, methods and tools of the assistance process. Define the concepts of autonomy and professional responsibility. Describe the regulation of professional practice and training. Describe the evolution of the National Health Service in Italy. Contextualize the social and organizational structures of their future professional activity Argue about the social determinants of health Develop the ability to read society's phenomena and position oneself as health professionals in a social perspective, taking into account the different determinants Describe the basic elements of general psychology Describe the basic elements of intrapsychic functioning Describe the basic elements of professional skills in the field of helping relationships Describe relationship methods in crisis/fragility situations Recognize risk factors in the workplace, particularly the hospital Know the regulatory framework for workplace safety Use PPE
Course Prerequisites
Students are required to have the ability to adapt and re-organise their study method; the ability to transmit and share ideas and information with different interlocutors in a clear and concise way through listening and effective discussion; ability to read, understand and critically analyze a text; the ability to identify original connections between teaching modules. Furthermore, a willingness to engage in introspection and self-reflection in group work through collaboration, dialogue and discussion with people with points of view that are different from one's own is also necessary.
