Students will be able to know the characteristics of the materials of the historical artifacts archaeological, architectural, archival and book, musical. Moreover, students will know the main micro- and macro-environmental factors and agents of degradation. Furthermore, students will be able to contribute to the resolution of cultural heritage conservation issues.

Knowledge of general, inorganic and organic chemistry

Frontal lectures with the support of Power-Point slides. Using the blackboard.
Assessment Methods
Oral examination. Oral interview on the program carried out during the course; the achievement of the teaching objectives will be evaluated. In particular we will consider the degree of acquisition of the contents, the critical abilities matured by the student, the possession of specific language, as well as an organic vision of the topics addressed. The appropriate language, the technical-scientific knowledge and the ability to reason about the preservation methods of historical artefacts will be positively evaluated.
