Proficiency in reading and interpreting critical editions of ancient Greek and Latin literary texts. Proficiency in linking the manuscript evidence with the history of the textual transmission.
Course Prerequisites
Very good knowledge of ancient Greek and Latin languages and literatures, as provided by an Italian undergraduate degree in Classics.
Teaching Methods
The course will take place on-site. Further didactic materials will be provided during the lectures and later uploaded on the e-learning platform Kiro (htttp://idcd.unipv.it/). Students who won’t be able to attend the course are pleased to contact the teacher.
Assessment Methods
The oral examination aims at ascertaining the knowledge of the contents of the lessons and the ancient texts explained and discussed during the lectures as well as of the main critical and methodological issues of classical philology.
