The course will give a broader overview of basic concepts of Numerical Analysis and Scientific Computing, so that the students can classify problems and the numerical algorithms suitable for their solution. The course has a theoretical part as well as some Lab classes which take place at the Computer Lab of the Math Department
Course Prerequisites
The topics covered within the courses Linear Algebra and Mathematical Analysis 1
Teaching Methods
Lectures, exercises, and Labs
Assessment Methods
The exam will consist of a written test lasting two hours, in which the student will have to solve some exercises on topics covered in class. In case of a positive outcome of the written test, the exam will be completed by an oral test, in which the student will also have to present a report on the computer laboratory.
